June 23rd, 2007 by ShajiFiroz
This is what I heard from Microsoft circle. Please spread the word out.TechEd discounted price for any MVP at 799 RM. If you’re selected for .NET University training and re-delivery, the price is then discounted to 599 RM.Read on to know more about .NET University.
What is .NET University http://www.dotnet-u.com/
The .NET University is an Instructor Led Lab (ILL) that gives TechEd SEA delegates a good technical overview of what is new in .NET 3.0. Through the lecture and lab sessions, the delegates will be able to gain knowledge of .NET 3.0, which includes WPF, WCF, WF and Cardspace. Besides that, selected delegates will get a chance to re-deliver the topics after attending any of the .NET University sessions.
How does it work
The ultimate objective of .NET University is to “Train The Trainer”. i.e. attendees should leave the sessions equipped with the ability to redeliver the presentations to their own audiences, e.g. at technical events, to user and special interest groups, internal company audiences and other interested parties. The attendees should leave the sessions equipped with .NET 3.0 knowledge and they are able to redeliver the presentations to their own audience at technical events, such as the special interest groups, internal company audiences and other interested parties. Experts from the US (Doug Turnure, Todd Fine and Mark Dunn) will conduct the sessions on the first day. On subsequent days, the sessions will be re-delivered by the volunteers amongst the delegates who attended the 1st day session. Doug, Todd and Mark will be available throughout the duration of the conference to facilitate and assist those who are in the learning environment to ensure their success. Of course, anyone can attend the sessions in order to learn and need not necessarily be a presenter on subsequent days, but we do encourage this.
Who should participate
.NET University is designed for anyone who is interested to learn .NET 3.0 technologies. We will
definitely be more than happy to see as many of our MVPs, community or academic influencers to participate in the .NET University, especially on the first day, which is a great opportunity to be trained by our internal .NET experts. Apart from that, we would also like to encourage the MVPs and influencers to re-deliver the sessions to TechEd delegates.
