What’s new in iPhone 3.0?

I upgraded my iPhone 2.0 to “iPhone 3.0″ – additional features are super exciting.
Email copy and paste feature is fantastic. I have been waiting for this long time. You can copy selectively and entire mail by simply touch on the screen. See this screen captures, it explains more than I write.

Compose a new mail. Touch the screen, and paste it.

MMS was another cool thing Apple introduced in iPhone 3.0. Though I have used MMS in many other mobile phone models in the past, it feels a fresh experience to me doing MMS with iPhone 3.0 – again, love the usability part. Some screen captures here:

I know this sounds silly to say that I am excited to have forwarding of SMS feature in new iPhone 3.0. But at last, SMS forward feature is here. Again, love the user experience. In the below screen capture, I was trying to forward a picture of beautiful house.

Copy and paste works in SMS as well. No more complaints

Searching mail made easy within the email client. Earlier, if I want to search something on my Gmail, I still would go to mobile version of web mail client on my iPhone and do the search.

Voice Memos – I personally love this additional built in application to record the voice. It helps me to take note while am on the road easily.

Search iPhone – This is like my Google Desktop Search. It searches the entire iPhone start from the applications to drill down your emails.

Lastly, the modem support (Internet Tethering) is now available. I found this info in TechNotes
