Where to download the Outlook Connector for Office 2010?

Technical Preview of Office 2010 has been started by users privileged users in order to access the pre-released versions of Microsoft Office 2010 (which includes Excel 2010, Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Outlook 2010, OneNote 2010, Access 2010, SharePoint Workspace 2010, Visio 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, InfoPath 2010 and Publisher 2010). MS Outlook 2010 in Technical Preview version doesn’t work Outlook Connector ver12. As a result of this, users will not be able to connect and synchronize web mail accounts such as Gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo etc using Outlook 2010, despite the fact that this version coexist well with previous versions of Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007.

Good news is Microsoft has included an updated version of Outlook Connector for Office 2010 under the Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Preview suite, so that users can use Outlook 2010 to access its Gmail, Windows Live etc including the folders of email, contacts and calendars.

    Does not work. When I try to install, I get a message that it requires Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010 (I have the Tech Preview installed).

      I guess you wanted to add live account, so try the below steps:

      - Remove all live/hotmail accounts
      Restart Outlook
      - Create live/hotmail account
      - It will prompt you to download outlook connector
      - Click Install now. Rest will be done by the system.
